The seminar conventions vary between degree programmes. Up-to-date information can be found in Moodle. The contact persons for thesis can be contacted by email firstname.familyname@karelia.fi.
The results seminar (final seminar) includes a public presentation of your thesis. You should prepare the presentation well to be able to introduce and explain your thesis from its starting points to the results in 20 minutes. It is worth considering what is essential, important and interesting for the audience and what can be conveyed in the limited timeframe. After the presentation, the opponent (peer evaluator) will present his or her views and questions. If possible, also the representative of the commissioning organisation and the thesis reviewer can provide feedback. Alongside public discussion, the thesis supervisor will comment and give feedback on the thesis.
