Alone or with Someone?
A thesis can be carried out individually or as pair or group work. The thesis topic should be chosen based on professional interest and it should relate to the important professional practices in the field. Choose a topic that interests you, that arises from a practical need, and relates to your specialisation field and its development perspectives. Consider what knowledge you already have and what you want to develop through your thesis.
Approval of the Thesis Topic
When you have found the topic for your thesis, discuss it with the person responsible for the thesis processes in your programme. Fill in the thesis topic and supervision form (see the form below) and return it for approval as per the instructions of your programme. In some programmes, all thesis plans need to be returned at the same time. When your thesis topic has been approved, supervisors and reviewers are assigned. It is recommended that the theses that are made in collaboration with the industry and business life are also supervised by a representative of the commissioning organisation.
