It is recommended that you start writing the thesis as soon as the topic is approved. The thesis cannot be made in one day. The process starts with a literature review, which is written after the approval of the topic and guidance form. The literature review sets the premises and defines the knowledge base for the thesis.
Instructions for the Literature Review
Before you present your thesis plan in the seminar, you should create an approximately 10-page-long literature review on the topic of your thesis. The literature review is an essential step in your thesis process. Choose and narrow down the scope of the review after discussions with your thesis supervisor. The literature review must concentrate on the key themes, concepts and knowledge base of your thesis.
In the literature review you familiarize yourself with the literature and other source materials relevant to your thesis topic. The review outlines the theoretical premises and the most important knowledge base using the research and informational literature of the field. At the same time, you become familiar with how to search for information and apply formal style in writing.
Your literature review should follow the thesis reporting instructions. You should return the review for assessment according to the instructions of your programme. The supervising teacher(s) will give you feedback on your text for you to edit and supplement it.
